“ONE NATION UNDER SIEGE”

At dusk an eerie silence fell upon the city
yet in the air there was a great anticipation
As women hurried home and locked their doors behind them
the elders and the men were gathered in the town
Came forth the warriors and soldiers of fortune
ten thousand strong and bearing instruments of battle
Local police and politicians plead for reason
out-numbered by the vigilantes in the street

Violence-I’m sick of running
it’s time for us to try
our hands at changing the future
real men have to try
Chaos-Hearts are failing
seeing our own end
One chance-to change the future
begin to change the end

Repentance preached upon the streets had little meaning
to those who chose to steal and kill in their rebellion
They shed the blood of many innocent civilians
now death has come to claim ownership of their souls
It’s true that what you sow you reap there is no question
as to the fate of a murderer a gangster
There’s always someone there to execute true judgment
and on this night, descend the angels of revenge

Violence-The cities fallen
avengers battle-cry
Seek and des-troy the wicked
take back what’s ours tonight
Sirens-Mothers weeping
their children dragged away
Retribution Fourfold
judgment no longer delayed

By sunrise sanity had settled on the city
hundreds of thousands lay upon the earth in silence
No signs or gestures, words or colors ere could save them
Never again to slay a sleeping innocent child
